Cytex Utility Services is a second-generation, family-owned company that has served the greater Houston area for nearly 40 years. Gil Johnson founded Cytex in Cypress, TX, in 1987, and built its reputation on quality work, dependable timelines, and honest relationships with Houston’s top builders and plumbers.
In 2023, Gil passed the torch to his daughter, her husband, and her husband’s brother, who are carrying on the standard of excellence and integrity the company was built on. The faces have changed, but the values haven’t. We’re still digging trenches and making connections the right way: safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
We are fully insured, RUI licensed, and proudly work under the direction of Master Plumbers and Master Electricians to ensure every job meets the highest professional standards.
At Cytex, this is more than a business—it’s a family tradition of doing things right, from the first dig to final inspection.
